The partnership will help expand use of Avantis’ award-winning ClassVR headsets and content library in schools throughout the state

Chicago, Illinois & Huntington Station, New York (January 5, 2026)Teq, a New York-based distributor of education technology and Avantis Education, a global leader in virtual and augmented reality (VR/AR) technology for schools, have entered into a partnership that makes Teq the exclusive distributor of Avantis’ award-winning ClassVR headsets and VR/AR content in the state of New York.

The partnership leverages Teq’s expertise with technology initiatives in New York schools to make it easier for those schools to bring ClassVR to their classrooms.

It expands the portfolio of innovative edtech products Teq can offer and helps more educators access hands-on immersive VR/AR learning experiences that engage students and complement the curriculum.

“Our mission is to empower school districts to transform education through the use of technology. We do this by partnering with innovative edtech companies whose products engage students and support deeper learning,” said Peter Kurtz, VP of Marketing at Teq. “Avantis Education’s goals align perfectly with our mission and we look forward to working with them to bring VR/AR learning to more schools in New York.”

Used by more than 2 million students across 250,000 classrooms in 90 countries, ClassVR is an all-in-one VR/AR solution that offers educators instant access to an expansive library of curriculum-aligned content, including 3D models, 360° experiences, and interactive lessons all designed to make immersive learning simple, accessible, and effective for teachers. For the 2025-26 school year, Avantis launched its new ClassVR Xcelerate headsets and EduverseCTE content library. Designed for students in career and technical education (CTE) programs, Xcelerate and EduverseCTE teach workplace skills and provide students with interactive hands-on exposure to a wide range of careers, from healthcare and construction to information technology and hospitality.
