WASHINGTON, D.C. (May 12, 2026) – Registration is now open for the Association of Latino Administrators and Superintendents (ALAS) 23rd National Summit on Education. The Summit is October 15-17, 2026 at the Grand Hyatt Denver hotel in Colorado. To register, visit https://members.alasedu.org/summit/.

The Summit will be immediately preceded on October 14 by the 2026 Latina Leadership Conference, hosted by ALAS’ Colorado affiliate, the Colorado Association of Latino Administrators and Superintendents (CO-ALAS). The Latina Leadership Conference features speakers and educational sessions focused on empowering Latina education leaders and will serve as the pre-conference for the ALAS National Summit on Education. Registration details for the Latina Leadership Conference are coming soon.

The ALAS National Summit on Education is the association’s flagship leadership development event for Latino administrators and those who serve at schools and districts that serve primarily Latino and other historically marginalized youth. It provides leadership development, policy updates, and networking opportunities for aspiring administrators, principals, C-Suite level administration, superintendents and board members from across the country.

This year’s Summit theme is “Elevating Excellence” in recognition of educational leadership as an ongoing journey.

“Our National Summit on Education is an amazing opportunity for school and district leaders to participate in leadership development that is specific to their roles, and to the students they serve,” said ALAS Executive Director Ulysses “Uly” Navarrete. “Join us in Denver for learning, inspiration, and celebration!”

In addition to the preconference, the Summit will also feature:

       Keynote speakers

       Presentations and panel discussions

       School site visits

       Student performances

       Networking opportunities

A black-tie awards gala honoring recipients of the 2026-27 ALAS awards and scholarship.

“Our National Education Summit goes beyond leadership development,” said Navarrete. “At ALAS, we are familia and our Summit provides attendees with an opportunity to be part of that extended family as we gather to lean on, learn from, and celebrate one another, and re-center our focus on our collective mission to improve education for Latino youth.”

Discounted registration for the Summit is available for ALAS members, and for CO-ALAS members who register for the October 14 Latina Leadership Conference.
