Upcoming Webinar Supports Schools Addressing Student Mental Health

Presenters will define resiliency and trauma-informed practices in the school setting and offer suggestions for supporting students’ mental health needs

NEW YORK, September 24, 2021 – According to the 2021 State of Mental Health in America report from Mental Health America, young people are struggling with their mental health, and,  during the pandemic, youth ages 11-17 were more likely to score for moderate to severe symptoms of anxiety and depression. As districts look to prioritize student mental health this school year, many are left unsure about how to help students successfully.

PresenceLearning, the leading provider of therapy tools and live, online special education related services for preK-12 schools nationwide, is hosting the webinar “The Role of Trauma-informed Practices in Redefining Success in Schools” on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at 3 pm ET.

During the webinar, Stephanie Taylor, Ed.S, NCSP, clinical director of psychoeducational services at PresenceLearning, will join Dr. Allison Jackson-Dyer LCSW, LICSW, CSOTP, CEO of Integration Solutions, to discuss trauma-and-resilience-informed practices and how districts can take steps toward equitable services for all students. Both experts will address the following questions:

  • What does “trauma-informed practices” mean?
  • How does a school go about providing what a student needs?
  • How does resiliency and trauma-informed practices lead to success in schools?
