Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE) Names Curriculum Associates’ i-Ready® Assessment a Qualified Dyslexia Screening Tool for Grades K–3

Districts across the state can use the award-winning online program and offline literacy assessment tasks to help identify and refer students with characteristics of dyslexia

NORTH BILLERICA, Mass., June 5, 2023—The GaDOE recently named Curriculum Associates’ i-Ready Assessment as a Qualified Dyslexia Screening Tool for Grades K–3. School districts across the state can now use the program’s online Diagnostic and offline literacy assessment tasks to support with the identification and referral of students who exhibit characteristics of dyslexia. Today, the i-Ready program serves more than 11.5 million students and approximately one-third of all Grades K–8 students in the United States, including approximately 485,000 students in Georgia.

NORTH BILLERICA, Mass., May 24, 2023—A research study from Curriculum Associates recently received a Moderate (i.e., Tier 2) rating from Evidence for ESSA. The study demonstrated that students who used i-Ready Personalized Instruction gained significantly more points on the Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment System (MCAS) in English Language Arts and Mathematics than those who did not use i-Ready Personalized Instruction.

Districts across the state can now use the i-Ready Assessment for Reading for Grades K–5 to meet requirements of the Missouri Read, Lead, Exceed K–3 literacy initiative

NORTH BILLERICA, Mass., April 25, 2023—The Missouri Department of Elementary & Secondary Education (DESE) has named Curriculum Associates’ i-Ready Assessment for Reading an approved assessment for the state’s Missouri Read, Lead, Exceed literacy initiative. Starting in the 2023–2024 school year, the initiative requires all school districts and charter schools in the state to assess students in Grades K–3 at the beginning and the end of each school year to determine their level of reading or reading readiness. The approval means Missouri districts can now use i-Ready to meet those requirements.
