Curriculum Associates Supports the Advancement of Latino Educators by Sponsoring ALAS Scholarships

With the generous donation by Curriculum Associates, ALAS chooses two aspiring superintendents to receive funds to help them pursue advanced degrees

NORTH BILLERICA, Mass., November 2, 2015—Curriculum Associates recently donated to the Association of Latino Administrators and Superintendents (ALAS) to support the organization’s scholarship program. The donation allowed ALAS to award two aspiring superintendents with a total of $12,000 in scholarship funds to pursue or continue their advanced educational degrees. Rubén Gutiérrez of Pendergast Elementary School District in Phoenix, AZ received a $10,000 scholarship and Ivette Dubiel of Indian Prairie School District 204 in Aurora, IL received a $2,000 scholarship.

Oregon Department of Education Adopts Curriculum Associates’ i-Ready® and Ready® Common Core Mathematics for Grades K–8

Adoption of 6–8 makes program the first and only to receive perfect scores and an exemplary rating across all K–8 grade levels 

Salem, Oregon, October 26, 2015—The Oregon State Board of Education has now adopted Curriculum Associates’ i-Ready and Ready Common Core Mathematics programs for use in all K–8 classrooms across the state. Built for the Common Core State Standards (CCSS), the programs are the only ones in the history of the adoption process to receive a perfect score and an exemplary rating across all K–8 grade levels during the Oregon Instructional Materials Evaluation Process conducted by the Oregon Department of Education. According to the department, the programs received this score based on their alignment to the Oregon Common Core State Standards in Mathematics.
